Some people who claim that they are “building the church of God” don’t know anything about the apostolic foundation, so they build on the evangelistic foundation; In other words, when the gifts of the spirit manifest through them and people gather around them because of the manifestation of the gift, they will assume that they have planted a great church. Philip was an evangelist, when he preached the gospel in Samaria and performed great miracles, almost the whole city followed him (Act: 8). Philip did not start a local church with those who followed him and saw the miracles because planting a church required an apostolic revelation and prophetic insight….

The church is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone (Eph 2:20).

Carefully studying the lives of those men and women of God in the bible who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies (Heb11:33-34), they all operate in the apostolic and prophetic frequency. The apostolic and prophetic foundation have nothing to do with religious titles, and it is not limited to only the doctrines of the early apostles and prophets of the New Testament, rather it represents two revelatory dimensions of Christ; the spirit of wisdom and understanding which helps the elect to comprehend the mystery of God in Christ (Eph 3:3-5), or divine enablement to see and power for actualization. When a prophet through divine understanding hears and sees accurately what God desires to accomplish on earth he will announce it, then an apostle through spiritual wisdom will draw out the eternal pattern of how God’s plan and purpose announced by the prophets can be fulfilled on earth. Apostles are foundation layers or a pathfinders; they have ability to bring nonexistence into existence. The children of Issachar were of the prophetic type…

(And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment (1Chronicles12:32).

The Children of Judah were the apostolic type…

(The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war (1Chronicles12:24).
Standing on the apostolic and prophetic dimension means that there will be no gap between your revelation and manifestation; you accomplish whatever God reveals to you at the same moment you receive it. People become religious when they operate only in the gift of wisdom without understanding, or understanding without wisdom...
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding (Proverb4:7).
If people have understanding of the word of God, without the wisdom (power) for fulfillment they will all end up forming religious organizations with no pure spiritual life which is exactly what is wrong with the present structural church… (Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (2Timothy3:5). Christians these days have a good understanding of the bible, but lost the beauty of moral force which is why the light is not shining through the structural churches. It is also dangerous to labor with power without accurate understanding…
Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matthew7:21-23).

Apostles and prophets walk “hand in hand”…
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit (Ephesians3:5).
Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her (Revelation18:20).
As mentioned above, the spirit of understanding enables believers in Christ to see into the heart of God, and the spirit of wisdom grants us the divine ability to actualize that divine vision which proceeds from the mind of God. In other words, if a believer has the spirit of wisdom and understanding there will be no gap between that person’s revelation and manifestation. Jesus Christ walked in that dimension where there was no gap between His revelation and manifestation, and that formed the basics for the true church. Any apostle who is going to collaborate with Jesus Christ in building the Church must possess an in-depth knowledge and the character of Christ, so that he will be able to lay a solid foundation of truth in the hearts of people by revealing Christ to them. One who does not have Christ can’t impart Christ to men; only bible knowledge.

Church planting is different from establishing denomination religious structures. When denominational churches send out missionaries to establish their branches, the first thing they do is to give their missionaries money to buy or to rent a hall, musical equipment, and enough money to advertise the name of the church or ministry. When the missionary acquires all of these things in the field, he will not go to preach, but instead he will begin to entice the people using cash or doing temporary charity work so that the people will come and fill his auditorium. Now, those aren’t church planting principles but tactics to expand a business empire. The way to build a church is to preach the gospel and convert sinners through the help of the Holy Spirit. Then, ensure that those people who have genuinely repented, forsaken their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior are daily growing towards perfection, by crucifying the flesh so to possess all of the fruits of the Holy Spirit which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control etc…..
We should make every effort to add to our faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. remember these fruits of the spirit represents spiritual bricks, if we possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep us from being ineffective and unproductive in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2Peter1:5-8).

As the converted people are daily adding these spiritual values into their lives, they are building up to conform to the full image of Christ.
