The writer suggests that you read this article with your spirit and not with your head. This article is not a theological sermon or doctrine of any religious organization, so don’t expect to read what you have been hearing from your church; this material is not based on the sayings or beliefs of any man, but what the Holy Spirit is revealing. I have no interest in repeating doctrines of any Christian religious group; God has called us to speak forth His mind, not to recite bible verses or denominational creeds. As I share with you what I perceive spiritually with the help of the Holy Spirit concerning “rapture of the church”, judge the revelation by the Spirit of God and with the written word of God. My target audiences are the mature Christians. Our prayer is that this write-up will activate something in your inner-man; and revive your zeal and passion for holiness and righteousness in Jesus Christ's name.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews12:1-2).

We are running a spiritual race and this race is a marathon not a sprint. Each of us Christians needs an accurate understanding to run this race and reach the end. If you don’t know where you are coming from, where you are going to and the way to get to your destination you will end up running around in a circle without reaching the finishing point. Jesus said….

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved (Mathew24:13).

How one starts a race is very important, but the most important part of a marathon is how one ends, King Solomon said…

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit (Ecclesiastes7:8).

The scripture informs us how six hundred thousand men of Israel (besides women, children and the mixed multitude) came out of Egypt, but only two people “Caleb and Joshua” entered into the Promised Land (Numbers14:29-30, 26:64-65, 32:11-12, Joshua 5:2-7). In a race, one can take off with great speed and end up taking the last position, while on the contrary, one can start very slow and at the end win first place, it all has to do with understanding. Jesus said...

When someone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one will come and snatch away what was sown in their heart (Mathew13:19).

Understanding plays a vital role in everything that one wants to do in this life. It is apparent that every Christian often makes the statement that "we are running a race", but how many actually understand the race? It is one thing to say that you are running a race and another thing to understand the race and run with the Holy Spirit unto the end. Most Christians are aware that their faith in Christ has become stagnate, they are no longer experiencing spiritual growth. Others are living in their past glory without achieving fresh heavenly realities, their zeal and passion for the things of the kingdom of God have completely gone, but instead of them to admit that and surrender their religious rituals and seek the face of the Lord to know why the glory departed, they continue to act as if something is happening using church activities to cover up their spiritual emptiness. Presently, most church leaders are acting like King Rehoboam, when Shishak, king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem and ransacked the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and the royal palace including all the gold shields Solomon made, instead of King Rehoboam to fight like a warrior to take back the original gold shields that his father Solomon made, he replaced them with bronze shields as substitutes (1Kings14:25-28). In those days when the church came together and prayed, the ground and building would shake (Act4:23-31). Elder Otum Onuoha who was born around 1875 in Ndi Imaga compound Elu Ohafia, in Abia State, Nigeria, was having a dispute over a plot of land; enemies came up against him who falsely claimed his land and property.  That servant of the Lord prayed to God and made a decree that if his enemies were successful in seizing his property by force that nothing would grow in it. As soon as he finished making his decree, mysteriously, an earthquake erupted on that land and it sank deeply into the earth, his enemies witnessed this and out of fear, they fled and left his land for him. Queen Mary of Scots said “I fear the prayers of John Knox more than all the assembled armies of Europe”.(1505-1572) Franklin hall (1946-1947) would fast and pray for eighty days, and during his time of praying a glorious smoke would come down from above and fill the building where he was praying. During the voice of healing William Marion Branham (1909-1965) would stand at the podium to minister to the people, and a supernatural halo of light would appear and circle above his head. Now, it is clear that nothing supernatural is really happening in the structural church, but the church leaders aren’t telling people the truth but instead try to cover up using various techniques, Pastors today can’t pray and bring down the heavenly glories, instead they have decorated their church buildings with artificial colorful lights and sparkling curtains. There is no divine light; the power of God is absent. In Africa, a common shaman can bring down a thunderstorm, if you are a preacher reading this you will most likely think that I am telling lies simply because it’s something that you yourself have not witnessed, but visit or inquire of a village called “Okon Ohafia” in Abia State Nigeria West Africa, anyone will verify it. We all need revival not mere programs; it is obvious that most believers are waiting for the rapture when their zeal and passion for holiness, righteousness and evangelization of the world is completely gone.

Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth (2Peter1:12).

It is a revelation that gives birth to a revolution, oftentimes change will not come until we first change how we view things. We need to recognize that God’s revelation is progressive, and when we fail to realize that and build monuments in a particular revealed truth about the kingdom of God and refuse to seek and advance to the next “higher” level of truth, stagnancy or spiritual dryness will occur; you will experience a spiritual black-out and become antagonistic to God’s present realities. For as not eating properly will cause malnutrition, the same concept applies to matters of the spirit. Listening to repeated sermons each Sunday in manmade structures causes the lack of spiritual growth, for God is constantly speaking and He wants us to hear Him and continue hearing. When Christians become fixated on the past voice of the Lord, and are unable to or become uninterested in receiving the present truth, people will begin to or continue to form religious organizations instead of conforming to the true image of Christ. As we are destined to conform to the full image of Jesus Christ (Romans8:28-29) we need daily revelation from the Lord to obtain fullness, relying on manmade religious bible doctrines, dogma and constitutions will not do us any good, for it is written:

Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God (Mathew4:4).

What we Christians need most today is the word of the Lord, “Ha Davar” in Hebrew which means “the living word of God” which is different from the written codes (the bible). Reading scriptures daily is excellent, but as we daily read scriptures we should also press deeper daily into the Spirit through prayer and meditation to hear what the Spirit of the Almighty God is saying right now! For we have been made able ministers of the New Testament, not of the letter, but of the spirit for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life (2Corinthians3:6). The Spirit of the Lord is revealing great mysteries of Christ and the Kingdom of God to us Christians that will help us attain God’s predetermined state of perfection and readiness but that can’t be heard due to the development of systematic theology. Seven times in the book of Revelation, it reads, “let him that have ears listen to what the spirit of God is saying to the churches” (Rev 2:7). We must listen and hear what the Spirit of God is saying today, and stop reciting bible creeds and doctrines. It is a pity that most think that cramming and quoting bible verses will grant them eternal life; bible knowledge without personal relationship, fellowship and communion with Jesus Christ can never grant anyone total deliverance. Jesus said to the Pharisees “You search the scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the scriptures point to me! (John5:39). There is no assurance of eternal life in reciting bible verses, we all need to develop a personal intimacy with Jesus Christ; if someone is not hearing directly from the Lord with the help of the Holy Spirit that person will hardly run the race and reach the end, Jesus says... My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John10:27). We need to live a true inner life of Christ, leading daily by the internal voice of the Spirit within us, that is the only way to overcome the present day religious deception, and to achieve this a deeper devotion to prayer, studying, meditation, keeping of silent hours and showing true love of God to people is needed.

Rapture as we have been taught means to be “caught up”; we are informed that the Arch Angel of God will sound the last trumpet in heaven then the dead in Christ will rise and fly away to the sky together with those of us Christians who remain alive to meet the Lord and remain with Him in the air. As we are also told, all the saints on that day will dress up in white robes. Now, regarding the time when the rapture will occur, there are many views among Christians; the most outstanding theory is the Pre-tribulation, Mid-Tribulation and Post-tribulation speculation. The Pre-tribulation believers insist that the rapture will occur before the beginning of the seven-year tribulation period. The Mid-Tribulation sects maintain their position that the rapture will occur at some point in the middle of the Tribulation period, while the post-tribulation religious groups teaches that the rapture will take place at the end of the Tribulation period. To the best of my knowledge, the most accepted view in Christendom today is the Pre-tribulation theory of rapture. Now, at this time not many people are aware that the concepts of rapture in mainstream Christianity have become one of the major obstacles hindering Christians from attaining the full knowledge of the Son of God; the orthodox perception of rapture will never allow believers to reach the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians4:11-13).

Pre-tribulation concept of rapture was developed from a dream of a 15-year-old girl in Scotland named Margaret Mac Donald (1815-1840), who said that she had a vision in which she saw believers flying up to meet the Lord in the air at His appearing before the great tribulation, Margate’s dream was later introduced as a church doctrine. John Nelson Darby (1800-1882), the leader and the founder of the Plymouth Brethren elaborated this dream. Mr. Darby started the teaching of Pre-tribulation rapture after meeting with Margrate Mac Donald. Among those influenced by Darby was Dr. Scofield, he included the teaching of Pre-tribulation rapture in his reference bible. This story about rapture sounds very interesting but I think we need a better understanding, the pre-tribulation view makes it appear as if the Christians are trying to escape from the world due to fear of the antichrist. The truth is that the church is not running away from any force, we are leaving the earth victoriously. After defeating sin and death, persecution and tribulation is a minor issue in the kingdom of God…

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew11:12).

What tribulation can do for us Christians is to help us develop a better character (Romans5:3-4). If God did not rapture His church in the 1st century during Emperor Nero's persecution of the Christians or in the dark ages during the medieval roman catholic’s persecution of the saints, He is not going to rapture it now just because of tribulation and persecution.

Most Christians are unable to pray and view things with their internal sight; they want to perceive everything only through the eyes of the flesh, but what does the word of God say? God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John4:24). It is important for us Christians to realize that Jesus Christ is in the process of taking up the saints unto Him; the rapture has started! When the true saints of Christ cross over to immortality, thousands of believers will not be aware of it. I believe that the day Enoch was translated not everyone was aware of it, probably after a period of time people began to ask, “Where is Enoch?” In these last days it is possible that people will disappear mysteriously, and we will think that they are lost or have been kidnapped or killed not believing that the Lord translated them over to immortality just like Enoch and Elijah, this will happen as a result of our in-accurate revelation concerning the rapture of the Church. It is obvious that most Christians who believe in John Nelson Darby’s theology of rapture is failing to consider the inward journey of perfection which is the real rapture, instead they assume that they will fly away one day to be in paradise with God without walking with Him first on the earth. God wants us to live here and manifest His glory so that the sons of men will see God through us, without that we are not going anywhere. Consider the kind of life Enoch lived here on earth before God translated him to immortality. Enoch prefigured the New Testament Church. The scripture stated that Enoch walked with God and pleased the Lord to the fullness and God translated him to immortality, Enoch did not experience a physical death (Genesis5:24, Hebrews11:5). During the days of Enoch the earth was dominated with all sorts of wickedness, but regardless of the evil ways of men, Enoch as a prophet took his stand and lived for God. He achieved a very high dimension of holiness to the point that the men of his age worldwide allowed him to rule over them as their king. Enoch ruled them in righteousness and taught the people God’s way of living and continued daily living a life of sanctification and purification until God called him up (See apocryphal book of Jasher). Enoch achieved immortality because he had the vision of it. Enoch was in the age of consciousness and spiritually viewed life in the church, kingdom and the perfect age. It is amazing that a man who lived in the seventh generation after Adam saw the coming of Jesus Christ with a countless number of his sinless saints to execute judgment on the people of the world (Jude1:14). When Enoch saw by revelation Jesus Christ coming with His sinless bride he came to full realization that human beings could be perfected, afterwards he pursued the vision. Enoch continued to separate and cleanse himself daily from sin until he dominated the sin nature and God translated him. We are running the same race as Enoch, the only difference is that Enoch dominated the nature of sin; he did not allow sin to have dominion over him. We believers in Christ are leaving the sin nature completely to enter fully into the sinless nature of God, we are not dominating sin, the sin nature must be completely erased in us, for we are God’s temple (1Corinthians3:16-17). Christians stand in a better position through the blood of Jesus Christ to achieve permanent sinless perfection and immortality in God. We should always remember that we are no longer under the Old Covenant; under the law came the “atonement of sin” which means to cover sin (Leviticus 17:11), but grace comes with “remission of sin” which means to take away sin (Mathew26:28). It is a pity that the mentality of flying away to heaven will not let people see this great mystical journey to perfection. Jesus says…

I assure you, most solemnly, I tell you, if anyone observes My teaching [lives in accordance with My message, keeps My word], he will by no means ever see and experience death (John8:51- Amplified Bible).

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John11:25-26).

Our views about rapture must change, we are strangers and pilgrims (1 Peter2:11). We are departing from mortality to immortality; from sin nature to arrive into the sinless nature of Christ, therefore let us continue to journey having the spiritual pilgrimage mindset.

Rapture is the translation of the saints to immortality, which is gradually happening. It starts from the very first day that a Christian gives his or her life to Christ. Christ hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear son (Colossians1:13). Our first departure from the world happened when we first repented from our sins, which was the day Jesus called us out of the world (John15:19).  Since then, the church has been gradually transforming “travelling” through the power of the indwelling of Christ in us. We are growing up to reach sinlessness and to achieve immortality.  You should know that rapture is nothing more than the spiritual inward journey of perfection. We Christians should be dying daily, crucifying the flesh to purify ourselves from everything that contaminates the body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. Jesus will not appear physically to receive us until we arrive at God’s predetermined state of perfection and readiness (Ephesians5:26-27). We started from justification, and after that sanctification, we are now in the process of internal purification, which will lead us to the glorification of the outermost man. Our spirit, soul and body must be presented blameless before the final day of our translation (Thessalonians5:23). Waiting for “the rapture” does not make much sense because the true saints are daily moving up spiritually to meet the Lord Jesus Christ. Rapture is a spiritual transition happening within us gradually on a daily basis, now it is important to learn something from the parable of the ten virgins…

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.” Matthew25:1-12

This parable describes two groups of Christians, one group of Christians discovered that life in Christ is a spiritual marathon and they prepared themselves for it by taking enough oil in their lamps, (oil symbolizes the Holy spirit) in other words, the wise virgins are those who received the word of God, and indwelling of the Spirit and proceed to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit which continues daily, while the second group are those who didn’t see the spiritual journey to perfection in Christ, they saw immediate flying away before tribulation, so after receiving the indwelling of the Spirit they stopped there without making any effort to be filled with the Spirit of God daily. Now, one of the most important lessons to be learned from the parable is that when the ten virgins took their lamps, which represents the word of God (Proverb 6:23) they did not stand still in one spot waiting for the bridegroom to come and receive them. The scripture says that they both went forth to meet the bridegroom. As we should know, meeting the bridegroom spiritually means conformity to the image of Christ; we must stand as a perfect man before going in with Christ over to the realm of immortality. The movement of the ten virgins represents our spiritual growth or the inward journey to perfection. We are already traveling spiritually to be with the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord is telling us to come up. Consider the following scripture…

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left (Matthew24; 40-41).

Spiritually these scriptures are presently happening, the field is the church and two women represent two kinds of Christians, which are the kingdom minded and material conscious believers. Grinding grains or seeds at the mill represent exposition or interpretation of the word of God. In the Church, some Christians “the kingdom minded people” are gradually ascending unto sinless perfection to achieve immortality of the earthly body by listening and obeying daily the voice of the Eternal Spirit of Christ, while the material conscious believers” are descending to conform fully to the world by following erroneous interpretations of the word “false financial prosperity messages”. As the kingdom minded Christians are spiritually approaching perfection, the Lord is coming physically to receive them. We are going to physically meet Jesus just at the spiritual borderline of immortality where He will take us in, and when the saints will be translated, then shall the eyes of the prosperity preachers and money conscious Christians open.  It is significant for us to comprehend that rapture is progressive; it is growing every minute towards immortality….

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life (Romans2:7).

And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature (Romans13:11-14).

When we gave our lives to Christ, it was just the beginning of the journey to our total redemption; our total salvation includes the redemption of our spirit, soul and body. We will never receive total deliverance until we achieve the transformation of our mortal body, when the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality; then, that which is written will manifest "Death has been swallowed up in victory”, the last enemy to be destroyed is death. Right now, we must continue our groaning until we achieve total perfection in Christ (Romans8:18-30). Our real life will be revealed after our translation to immortality. There is great need to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12), I don’t know where some christians got the idea of “eternal security” which teaches that salvation is permanent, what these people seem to forget is that Judas Iscariot was among the twelve apostles when Jesus told them not to rejoice that the spirits submit to them, but that they should rejoice that their names are written in heaven (Luke10:17-20). If salvation is permanent Judas’ name could not have been removed from the book of life or the heavenly book after Jesus said that his name is written in heaven, It is important to recognize that if you believe in Jesus Christ as your lord and savior and fail to adhere to his principles on daily basis, all of the sins that you forsook in the world will gradually resurrect and dominate your life again, which is why the scriptures teach that we should daily purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God (2Corinthians7:1). We can only make our calling and election sure by adding daily the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our life (2 Peter 1:5-10). Waiting for the rapture without making any effort to reach perfection is meaningless because Jesus Christ is physically coming back for a perfect Church that has neither spot nor wrinkle. And remember, the church is you and I not a physical building. It is our responsibility to present our self blameless before God….

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." (Fine linen stands for the righteousness of the saints Revelation19:7-8).

We are to make ourselves ready for the marriage of the Lamb, which entails our complete union with the Christ; It is when our spirit, soul and body conforms to the heart of God, until we reach that point to where we will no longer desire our own will but God’s will. Our wedding garment is sinless perfection, the Lord is doing this work in us, and all that we need to do is to follow His internal voice. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me (John10:27). Let us humble our spirits in prayer and listen to the Lord’s voice in order to follow Him to His dwelling place which is the highest point of purity, power and immortality in the spirit realm (1Timothy6:16). Amen!

This is another topic that we must understand, let’s read the following scripture:

I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. (1cor15:50-52)

In comparing the scriptures, you will understand that these trumpets will sound seven times and the last blast will bring about the translation of the true saints of Christ to immortality…

But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets (Revelation10:7).

The mystery of God as explained in these verses is the total perfection and the immortalization of our physical body (1Corithians15:51-56, Isaiah25:8). God will ransom us from the power of the grave, and He will redeem us from death. The Lord said, “O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes (Hosea13:14). The last trumpet will bring us into complete victory over sin and death...

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. (1Corithians15:26).

It is unfortunate that some Christians are expecting to see the Archangel Michael appear in the sky sounding the last trumpet to call the saints home. Those who have this concept claim that they are waiting for the last trumpet to sound so that they will be raptured. Now, waiting for the last trumpet to sound would indicate that the six trumpets have already sounded; the problem now is that if the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth trumpet has already sounded and the people didn’t hear them, how will they hear the seventh trumpet?

It is important for us to recognize that a trumpet sound represents the prophetic voice of the Lord calling for a new move or new order, the seven trumpet sounds signifies seven major moves of the spirit, and the Last trumpet represents the last move of the spirit. Also take note that the translation of the word “angel” in Hebrew is “Malak “ which share  same meaning with the Greek word “angelos” meaning a minister, not necessarily cherubim and seraphim or the Arch angel Michael and Gabriel. Arch-Angels also mean “Messenger of the messengers”   The seven angels who will blow the seven trumpets represent the seven messengers of the ages. God always sends a messenger with a specific message to the people of the world in every generation, especially in the hour of moral decay; when sin tries to dominate every human endeavor. The messengers of God come with an accurate revelation of God with a pure character to warn and to point the people in the right direction. There has been a voice in each age representing God, who announced and demonstrated God’s present truth on earth. For instance, God demonstrated his word in Eden through Adam in the age of innocency. In the age of conscience the Lord manifested his word through Abel and afterward Seth, Enoch and then Noah. In the age of promise Abraham was the messenger of the period. In the age of law, He spoke to Moses through a burning bush and then commissioned him to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt. At the end of the law and the prophet, God sent John the Baptist with a message to prepare people for the coming the Lord. Jesus Christ is Lord as well as the great messenger of the grace and truth (John1:17). In Ephesian age the Church age, Paul was the messenger (voice) to the Gentiles. According to the tradition, Irenaeus (A.D. 170 to A.D. 312) was the messenger of the Smyrnean church age. Martin Luther was a messenger (a voice) in the dark ages. John Wesley also was a voice in his time. We have seven ages within the church age and seven messengers. As we should know, the called out people (Church) spiritually represents the Hebrews, which is derived from the Root word Abar “Eber” meaning “To Cross Over” or “people in constant migration” as mentioned earlier, we are moving from mortality to immortality; leaving the sin nature to achieve sinless nature of God. When Christians settle on a particular revelation for a long time, or lost zeal and passion for holiness and righteousness God will call forth for a fresh journey by releasing a fresh revelation. Then an apostolic, prophetic messenger who first spiritually receive the message will blow the trumpet announcing God’s present truth to the people, and when the present truth is proclaimed the church “the Called out spiritual Individuals” will receive the message and move with the Spirit to a higher level of faith towards perfection and immortalization of the outward man. The clear picture of these trumpet sounds and the journey of the church to immortality can be seen in the exodus of the children of Israel to the Promised Land, the Israelites journey from Egypt to the Promised Land foreshadowed the spiritual movement of the church from mortality to immortality. During Israelites physical journey to the Promised Land, the people traveled and came to a particular point in both the Mosaic and Joshua order where the Lord demanded that they should move by the sound of the trumpet…

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Make two silver trumpets for yourself; you shall make them of hammered work; you shall use them for calling the congregation and for directing the movement of the camps. When they blow both of them, all the congregation shall gather before you at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. But if they blow only one, then the leaders, the heads of the divisions of Israel, shall gather to you. When you sound the advance, the camps that lie on the east side shall then begin their journey. When you sound the advance the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall begin their journey; they shall sound the call for them to begin their journeys. And when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but not sound the advance (Numbers10:1-7).

As we see in this scripture, the Israelite which foreshadows the Church journeyed to the Promised Land by following the sounding of the trumpet. Now, we have to understand that these particular trumpets in the Mosaic order do not represent the last seven trumpets mentioned in the New Testament. The seven trumpets in Joshua’s order foreshadowed the New Testament last day’s trumpets….

Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. And the LORD said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor. You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days. And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him” (Joshua6:1-5).

Under the new covenant, the wall of Jericho represents our mortal flesh. The same way that the natural Israelites were advancing towards the wall of Jericho by the sounding of the trumpet, so we the church are moving toward sinless perfection and the translation to immortality. Our spirit, soul and body must experience being born again; as our spirit is born again, our soul must be completely renewed, and our mortal body must be changed and clothed with an immortal body. Paul prayed thus for us…

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1Thessalonians5:23).

As mentioned earlier, trumpet sound means an urgent call for a new spiritual order; each new trumpet reveals a fresh mystery of God. When a trumpet sounds, the people (church) will leave the elementary knowledge of God and move into a higher dimension. For example, John the Baptist sounded the 1st last day’s major trumpet. John as the forerunner called the Jews out of Law and pointed them to grace. Before John sounded the trumpet and unveiled the fresh mysteries of the kingdom of God to the religious order of his days, the Jews spent a complete four hundred year period of spiritual silence. Malachi was the last prophet, and after him, no other prophet surfaced for four hundred years until John came and announced the preparation for the new move of the Spirit from the law to the grace and truth, after John came the Messiah. Through the teaching of Christ and His spiritual empowerment, the church departed from the Mosaic Law in the 1st century and traveled until the 3rd century. In the 4th century, the enemy attacked the saints and tried to reconcile them with the world using Emperor Constantine the Great. The effort of unifying the church with other world religions gave birth to the Roman Catholic Church. In the 15th century a trumpet sounded, God made an urgent call demanding that the church come out of the organized religion (The Roman Catholic Church). The angel (messenger) whom the Lord sent then with the message was Martin Luther. Mr. Luther came with a profound revelation of justification by faith and called God’s remnant (the church) out of the apostate body of Christ.

After three hundred years of the protestant reformation as the theologians call it, (“which I know very well that there is no such thing as reformation of the church,”) the Lutheran Christians who were very vibrant in their faith gradually returned to the system which they criticized and condemned. The problem was that the mixed multitudes that departed with the spiritual church stopped to acquire more revelation of Jesus Christ, then built a monument in Martin Luther’s teachings “justification by faith“. To the protestant believers, any revelation that Martin Luther did not approve was considered not to be a word from the Lord, thus Martin Luther became the ultimate oracle to the protestant Christians...

(God wants us to hear directly from Him continuously. Whenever we begin to depend upon one pastor or prophet, instead of hearing God directly, we are simply building a dangerous occult!)

After the death of Martin Luther, God’s glory departed from the protestant movement and it became an organized religion like its mother the Roman Catholic Church...

(It is wrong for a church to establish itself according to a one-man revelation. Any church dominated by one person must have spiritual “kwashiorkor”).

During the 17th century another great trumpet sounded, it was God calling for a new move. The messenger who announced the message was John Wesley, and the move was known as the Methodist movement, which was quite different from the Protestant order. Under the Protestant movement, Luther received from God and taught the Christians of his time justification by faith, John Wesley preached the message of sanctification - holiness. Since the protestant Christians had already misconceived that God’s revelation to them was justification by faith, they refused to accept the doctrine of sanctification, which may have revived them and brought them to the present reality of God. Just as the Roman Catholic Church fought against the Lutheran movement, the Lutherans in turn fought against the Methodist...

(It is very dangerous for any church leader or his congregation to believe that they have it all, or know it all as far as God’s divine revelation is concerned. None of us has received it all. We all know in part, preach and teach in part. If we are purposed to achieve a greater height in Christ, then we must remain humble and flexible).

After another three hundred years that John Wesley led the Methodist group out of the protestant church, his order (the Methodist) lost the zeal, conformed to the world, and ended up becoming an organized religion. The problem continued after the death of John Wesley, the mixed multitudes (the Methodist believers) settled in his teachings instead of seeking more of God. When the remnant of God seekers in the Methodist order got tired of playing religion, they prophetically entered into prayer and fasting, along the line they heard another spiritual sound of the trumpet which gave birth to another spiritual awakening which theologians called the Pentecostal movement, this started on April 4th 1906 on Azusa street in California. An African American preacher named William J. Seymour stood as the messenger of that age; his teachings were based on the Holy Ghost baptism and speaking in tongues, which the Methodists and other previous movements greatly opposed. Now, the powerful Pentecostal movement that shook the world in the middle of the 19th century has presently lost its glory and power just like previous movements that preceded it.

The Pentecostal church today as Bishop Ryle said of the primitive Roman Catholic Church has also become a religion without knowledge, without faith and without a lively hope. A religion without justification, regeneration, sanctification and purification; a religion without any clear views of Christ and the Holy Spirit, except in rare instances, Pentecostal churches today aren’t any better than any other organized system of pastor worship, formalism, ceremonialism and blind obedience to the pastors and bishops. The present church leaders, especially in Pentecostal churches have either forgotten, don’t know, or don’t care that Jesus Christ taught us the priesthood of all believers, which means that every child of God is a priest and has the divine ability to pray and hear from God and to speak God’s mind to the people (Rev 1:6, 5:10, Peter 2:9, Corinth 3:6-7). Pastors and bishops have dominated and blindfolded the people not to see the reality; they have exalted themselves instead of God over their congregation. Pastors in today’s churches are not servants but lords, church members are spectators instead of co-workers. Nowadays, Christians attend church to watch one man performing on stage; after the show is over, they pay entertainment fees (called an offering).  A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep (John 10:11). Today, structural church leaders are acting contrary to this scripture; the sheep are the ones laying down their lives for the shepherds! The poor are getting poorer while the rich are getting richer in the structural church. This should not be happening between Christians and true Godly leaders. Leaders are busy competing among themselves on who will build the most expensive cathedral. The church is not the physical building, the people are. Where is the brotherly love? The present church system is acting contrary to the church of the bible (Act 2:42-47, 4:32-46). Most gospel artists’ don’t sing to praise God, but instead for entertainment purposes and to win awards. Women attend church half-naked and no one addresses the issue. It is time for a complete separation! Where is the true message of the kingdom, which is holiness, righteousness and justice? The teaching taking place in Christendom presently is a perverted teaching of grace that justifies sin. Money from any source is being accepted in the structural church today, be it from drug dealings, fraud, or blood.

At the present, another trumpet is sounding and God is calling the church into a higher level of sacrifice and worship. As we move with the spirit fixing our hearts and minds on Christ, we are gradually approaching the borderline of immortality. The last revelation, the mystery of God that the Lord will reveal to the church will usher us to the fullness of God!  We all will experience the physical translation of our mortal bodies to immortality just as Joshua’s generation shouted for victory and marched into the city of Jericho at the blast of the seventh trumpet…

So the people shouted when the priests blew the trumpets. And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat. Then the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city (Joshua 6:20).

The church of God is going to shout the same shout of victory over sin and death at the last trumpet blast….

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”“ O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” (Corithians15:51-55)

We must become more spiritual conscious and less material minded, It will be very difficult for someone who is worldly minded to hear from the Lord, which is why most Christians settle with human knowledge; they don’t want to be separated from the things of the world. The true saints are spiritually moving up to perfection on a daily basis, while the religious organizations are heading to perdition. May the Lord continue to help us to see the reality of His immortal kingdom and grant us more grace to journey in Jesus Name Amen!
